So the sunny weather today has put me in a good mood.
I was thinking about my favourite fragrances and they all have a strong spring/summer theme, whether they be more of a floral or fruity scent.
Daisy - Marc Jacobs (£45 for 50ml in Boots)
This is such a classic perfume which has been around for years now - but is still one of my favourites. Every time I use a bottle up I HAVE to go and purchase a new bottle because it's just such a beautiful, light and summery perfume. I guess the name Daisy also reminds me of warm weather. As you can see I've almost finished this bottle and I think I'm next going to purchase the Daisy Sunshine fragrance instead because it's also such a lovely smell but I fancy a slight change.
Romance - Ralph Lauren (£50.50 for 50ml in Boots)
This has been one of my favourites for years and when I was younger I always used to spray some on myself in Boots and I always got compliments on how nice I smelt! Unlike the name suggests, I don't think this is a girly perfume at all, it is floral but it's also very strong and sporty. I was so pleasantly surprised when my boyfriend bought me the Romance gift set for Christmas - which also came with a hand cream in the same smell which I also love.
Anais Anais - Cacharel (£29.99 for 100ml in Boots)
Yes, yes I am an old granny for liking this. This perfume just brings back so many memories of my mum wearing this back in the 90's! This fragrance certainly isn't for everyone - it has quite an extreme floral scent of lilies and is very musky. But I think it's such a good price for such a classic and renowned perfume.
Princess - Vera Wang (£45 for 50ml in Boots)
I am so upset that I've only got a few sprays left in this perfume. When I was a teenager this was always my favourite and wore it to school every day as I knew how many compliments I'd get from it! Although it is targeted at teenagers, I think this will be one I will continue repurchasing for a long time because I just love its sweet yet fruity scent.
ckIN2U her - Calvin Klein (£24.66 for 100ml in Boots - on special offer)
First of all, lets just appreciate the price of this amazing perfume. The smell of this reminds me of holidays and surfing on the beach - it's so light and refreshing. I must admit, I'm not a big fan of the packaging but the scent more than makes up for it (as well as the price). Definitely recommend.
Purr and Meow - Katy Perry (£29.99 each for 50ml in Boots)
Okay, so some of you are going to think these perfumes are tacky. But who cares, they are cats!!! I bought Purr over a year ago due to my love for Katy Perry. I wasn't really expecting a nice fragrance, I just bought it for the merchandise to be honest. But oh my goodness, it smells beautiful like vanilla, coconut and musk, with a bit of added fruit. So of course, I went out and bought Katy's newest perfume which is Meow. Now this, is what you imagine a "Katy Perry" perfume to be like... it's so sweet and smells like caramel, apple and vanilla - but it's not too powerful. If you're ever going to go for a celebrity perfume, I recommend this one.
So there you go, that is my very long, essay review of my favourite fragrances.
What are your favourite perfumes? Do any of you agree with me?
Becky
